I love supervision and being a supervisor, and am passionate about helping therapists develop, at any stage of their career. I am interested in ethically minded, courageous and kind practice and I am keen to develop a productive supervisory relationship with you; establishing with you, what you require from supervision, the areas of your practice you want to celebrate, as well as the areas you want develop. I am trained as a craniosacral therapist as well as a psychotherapist, which gives me a deep embodied understanding of working with trauma. I teach counsellors to Diploma and degree level
I am developing a Relational model of therapy, and am researching this through a DPsych at Metanoia Institute, London. I enjoy supervising groups as well as individuals.

I am a registered Integrative supervisor, experienced in working with two key approaches; psychoanalytic and cognitive behavioural therapy, and combining the two where appropriate. My way of working with both clients and supervisees is to discuss with them what they want and need and consider how best this can be achieved through the various approaches. I use theory to inform my practice.
I have been registered with the UKCP for over 10 years. If you wish to know more about my approach and my fee please feel free to contact me.

I am a Minster Centre trained and accredited supervisor. I have been practising as a therapist and supervisor since 1990. I have wide-ranging experience of supervising and supporting staff in a variety of fields and professional settings. This has included working with individuals in private practice, in education, sexual health and forensic psychiatry.
In addition to this, I have extensive experience of supervising trainees and newly qualified therapists, which I especially enjoy. I regard supervision as a dynamic, two-way process from which I also learn.
I see supervisees in West Hampstead, London, and in Eynsham, near Witney, Oxfordshire.

Carolyn is an Integrative Therapist having trained at the Minster Centre in London. She has been UKCP Accredited and Registered since 2002. She has been supervising other counsellors since 2004 after studying and becoming a Supervisor initially with Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland.
She has worked for Rowan since 2004 and in private practice since 2000. Having worked with many EAP organisations, she has great experience of many areas of people’s difficulties and helping in a short term capacity in limited sessions.
She volunteered for CRUSE Bereavement Service from 2001 until 2012. This shows her particular interest and experience in working with loss in all its guises. As part of Carolyn’s training, she worked in a tertiary care day centre in the NHS. This gave her vast experience in working with adult survivors of sexual abuse and adults with mental illness, including depression and anxiety.
Carolyn combines psychodynamic and humanistic styles of counselling, which would include person-centred, solution-focused, CBT and other approaches, depending on what feels most appropriate to the individual client needs. Her experience is both in short-term, focussed work and in open-ended long-term work.
She enjoys supervising and has extensive experience with students on Diploma courses, as well as those who have gone into private practice, work in Student Counselling services, or in various organisations.

I am an integrative supervisor. Supervision is a vital place to reflect on clinical dilemmas, talk about professional issues and learn from someone more experienced. I work with individual supervisees supporting their indivudal and couples therpay work. I see supervision also as a place to reflect what is going on for you as a therapist, in order to develop reflective practice.

I have received an MA in Psychotherapy from The Minster Centre. I also have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision from CPPD which are BACP accredited courses. I have also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am an Accredited member of the BACP and the UKRCP as well as registered with the UKCP. I am therefore bound by their professional standards and ethics. I am an integrative practitioner which means I draw from many approaches to therapy depending on the issues and/or client suitability. My experience as a therapist is varied, having worked with The Place To Be, Haringey Council, Open Door (all with young people), Brent Alcohol and Counselling Service and Mind (all adult work). I enjoy working in private practice with clients from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. My own background is in music and I like to look at the therapeutic work as something co-created. My belief is that we all have the ability to create the lives we wish to lead. This may of course sometimes be difficult, but I feel that it is in approaching life in a creative way that possibilities can be explored.
I am also a founder of Sail To Clarity that uniquely runs personal development workshops and trainings from a power cruiser boat on the Medway River in North Kent launching Spring 2019. Follow us at

I provide Clinical Supervision and Consultation to qualified and trainee Psychotherapists and Counsellors as well as Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, in both my private practice and within agency settings. I offer supervision to services, as well supervision of supervision.
I am a UKCP registered supervisor
I also supervise practitioners who work in many different modalities.
I am as comfortable supporting the therapist in exploring unconscious processes in the clinical material presented, linking theory with practice, and working with the transference and countertransference in order to deepen an understanding of the client’s inner world, as I am with addressing issues of technical difficulty in working clinically with a manualised CBT protocol that may be hindering the therapist’s efficacy.
I encourage the therapist to develop their own ways of reflecting, thinking and processing clinical material, in order that they establish their own identity as a therapist over time.
Within supervision I draw on my 20 years of clinical experience in; private practice, the NHS, Employee Assistance Programmes, Counselling Agencies and services in both private and voluntary sectors.
I have been the Head of Supervision at the Minster Centre for nearly ten years
