I am an experienced Psychotherapist and a supervisor, UKCP registered, practising in N2 East Finchley and W1G in Oxford Circus.
I have many years of experience working with a wide range of issues. Relationship issues, anxiety, depression, anger management, panic attack, eating disorders, low self-esteem and lack of confidence are amongst the most frequent issues that I work through with my clients.
As well as working in private practice, I have had experience working with people from diverse backgrounds in a number of mental heath settings and NHS provisions. I provide short term counselling 6-12 sessions as well as open-ended long-term psychotherapy.
I also supervise qualified psychotherapists, counsellors, trainees as well as supervisors.
My approach is integrative which means I can use a combination of several different approaches. The Integrative training has given me both in depth and rich training in different modalities and the freedom to choose what is right for a particular person or an issue. As there isn’t one single approach, which would suit all.
Therapy in my view is about creating a safe and trusting environment in which you can express yourself as freely as possible and get the opportunity to explore the roots of your problems and gain insight into patterns of living that may be destructive. This awareness can bring about the possibility of having choices, hence the ability to shift the stuck-ness or repetitive cycles.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I was an artist and a lecturer. I have found that therapy can bring about creativity in clients not necessary in its obvious forms (e.g.; painting, music) but in learning how to deal with frustrations, internal and external conflicts.

I have been in private practice, and also worked in the voluntary sector and the NHS since completing my training at the Minster Centre in 1986. In the early 1990’s I learnt Cognitive Analytic Therapy ( CAT ) with Anthony Ryle, its founder, at Guys Hospital, and went on to become a CAT supervisor ad trainer. Currently I use both CAT (for time-limited work) and an integrative approach, for longer – term work, in my practice. Formative influences have been the work of Donald Winnicott and Carl Jung. I continue to work in the NHS in Sussex, and have a small private practice in S. London and Lewes, Sussex.
