I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist and offer one-to-one therapy for adults. I can work with you on a long-term, open- ended basis, as well as offering time-limited sessions.
Therapy can offer a space for personal insight, understanding, growth and change. I offer a safe, compassionate, confidential place to share what is immensely difficult, but also hold space to involve humour, laughter and play in our work too. These can be an important part of coming to terms with hardships and loss, and of healing.
Alongside my private practice, I also work for a low cost therapy service. I have experience of providing long-term and time-limited support in a range of settings, such as university counselling services and sexual abuse and rape crisis organisations.

Therapy can be a life changing experience, a time for growth, exploration and personal development. You may be coming in the hope to resolve some past or current experiences that you find overwhelming, or you may feel confused, lost, stuck, experience difficult symptoms or unhelpful behaviours that inhibit you living life to the full. Whatever your reasons are for starting therapy, we will work together to find the right approach for you.
Being an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I bring together many pathways that can offer different approaches, tools and techniques tailored to fit the needs of each client. Integrative therapy is a progressive therapy offering flexibility and builds on the latest understanding of psychotherapy, neuroscience and how our mind, bodies and spirits are all connected.
It is fundamental that you find a therapist you can work with and trust. The better the relationship between you and your therapist the more likely you are going to benefit and see changes in your life through your coping strategies, relationships, thought patterns, behaviours and/or perspective.
I deeply respect difference and welcome people of any gender identity, sexuality, ethnicity, background or with any aspect of diversity. Respect and compassion is the cornerstone of my practice.
I trained at the The Minster Centre, a leading Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy training college. My qualifications are a BACP-accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling, an Advanced Diploma and an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am an accredited UKCP integrative psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP and abide by their ethical frameworks.

I am a BACP and UKCP registered psychotherapist and I provide a compassionate and supportive space for you to explore the difficulties and uncertainties you are facing. These could include bereavement and other life transitions, work stress, unhappy family dynamics, anxiety, depression, trauma or a search for identity and meaning. I have specific experience of working with pregnancy loss, parents seeking support with family life, students in higher education and survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for many years as an executive coach, helping people to address the stress and unhappiness they were feeling at work or in their career. I saw how growing self-understanding was invaluable in enabling clients to find their own solutions to their troubles. Realising that many difficulties we face as adults are rooted in earlier life experiences led me to train as a therapist.
I work in an integrative way which means that I view you and your experience as unique and think about it with you from different perspectives, using a variety of psychological approaches. I work relationally, which means I focus on forming a strong connection between us which will enable you to understand yourself better as you work on what is troubling you.

I am a UK trained integrative psychotherapist. I offer integrative therapy to adults/young adults (age 16+). This form of therapy is tailored to you, integrating different models and theories in a considered way. I draw from a range of theories and interventions that best suit you. This way of working can help you understand how you operate in the world, what drives you forward and what might be holding you back because sometimes what is holding you back can be linked to early trauma(s) or a firmly held belief. In our work together we can come to better understand this. I can offer trauma informed interventions, such as EMDR, to help process and work through these with the aim to allow more flexibility and movement into your life. The work can be short term or open ended depending on your needs. I am a warm, caring and thoughtful practitioner. I will bring my 15 years of experience to attend to you and that which brings you to therapy.

Everyone’s reasons for seeking therapy are different; we are all unique.
You may be looking to talk to someone who will simply listen to how you’re feeling, without judgment, where you can share the things you’re struggling to say out loud elsewhere. You may feel anxious and overwhelmed in this strange world we’re living in and need help unpicking how you’re feeling. You may have lost someone close to you and are struggling to cope. Or your issues may be more complex which may take more time for us to unpick.
I am here to give you that space to listen and figure out what you need.
As a relational integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I am able to draw on many theories, techniques and mindsets. Working together, we would explore and determine an approach that works best for you. This could include considering the areas of your life that are currently causing you difficulty, meanwhile thinking back to your past to help you understand why you may feel the way you do, all-the-while working towards visualising what you want from the future.
Having been in therapy myself, I know what it feels like to sit in the other chair. I believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of the relationship between a therapist and a client. As such, I believe it is important you find a therapist you can work with and trust. Your first session would therefore be a non-committal opportunity for us to get to know each other. We could then determine whether we’re a good fit. We would also explore together what has brought you to therapy, what it is you’re struggling with, and what you are hoping therapy can do to help.
In terms of my background and training, I am a Minster Centre-trained counsellor and psychotherapist, working with individual adults, both face-to-face and online. I am based in the Brentwood, CM14 area. I am registered with the BACP and accredited by UKCP. I am also a member of The Relational School.
