The Minster Centre is seeking an organised, highly motivated and professional individual to fulfil the part-time role of Assessments Administrator.

Salary range

£15,900 pro rata, (£26,500 FTE) 

Hours

21 hours per week (days of the week negotiable). Normal office hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. Flexibility may be required closer to key deadlines. Flexible working negotiable.

Location

Hybrid working (onsite and home). The applicant must be available to work from the Minster Centre office (Queen’s Park, NW6) at least one day a week.

Annual Leave

FTE (35 hours a week) holiday entitlement is 33 days each holiday year, pro rata for part time staff.

Background and summary of the job

This is a key role within the Training Administration Team with a core responsibility for organising live assessments, co-ordinating marking and admin support.  

The ideal candidate would be an organised administrator, IT literate (particularly proficient in Excel, Word & Outlook), have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. In addition, they will be able to work autonomously on various tasks, work well in the team and with colleagues within the Minster Centre. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant transferable skills to develop those skills further.  

Main areas of responsibility 

    • Working under direction of the Registrar and using own initiative to plan and organise live assessments three times each academic year. 
    • Problem solving live assessment scheduling issues.  
    • Point of contact for live assessment related queries from students and staff.  
    • Communicate with markers regarding deadlines and coordinate the marking process. 
    • Enter grades and maintain data with upmost accuracy on the various systems including Excel and Salesforce.
    • Produce certificates and diploma supplements for students following the assessment boards.
    • Download and archive students’ self-assessment work and feedback from Moodle.
    • To maintain a sound working knowledge of courses, requirements and regulations.
    • To create applicant accounts and input data to Salesforce, the student information database.
    • Assisting in the development of Salesforce to ensure ongoing accurate data capture and storage. 
    • Coordinate and administer the Introduction to Counselling Skills course which involves all admin from application to course completion. 
    • Monitor shared email inbox and respond to enquiries when required. 
    • Manage workload effectively and efficiently to ensure deadlines are met. 
    • Ad-hoc general administrative support throughout the academic year from induction to graduation including annual leave cover when necessary.
