The Minster Centre introduced a scheme in 2017 for qualified psychotherapy practitioners who wish to gain experience as trainers/tutors.  This is an opportunity to deepen your learning, develop your skills and understanding of group teaching and consolidate theoretical knowledge.  Participation in the scheme will count as CPD.

You will need to be qualified to MA level, registered with the UKCP, and not a current student at The Minster Centre. This means that you need to have successfully completed all aspects of your training.

Successful applicants will assist in Year 1 Skills seminars and exercises, be given the opportunity to work with more than one tutor, see how assessment is carried out and carry out some assessments, attend year group meetings. Tutors will take responsibility for training groups and any decisions about the group or individual students but will work co-operatively with Associates, aiming over time to build up confidence and capacity to work independently. Some preparation time will be needed to familiarise yourself with the material to be covered.  Attendance at meetings is not a requirement.

Successful applicants will need to agree to comply with all relevant policies, procedures and guidelines of The Minster Centre, including those relating to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and the General Data Protection Regulations, and clinical governance including research governance and Codes of Practice/Ethics.
